The Wedding of Rachel and Martin at Liverpool Marina

We have just finished processing the wedding photographs from yesterdays wedding at Liverpool Marina – one of Merseyside’s lesser used wedding venues.

We were booked as photographers for the wedding of Rachel and Martin at the beginning of this year and I met with them both last month at the wedding venue, Liverpool Marina. It was the first time I had seen the location, having never shot a wedding there before, and I must admit to my first impression not being a positive one. (The marina club-house being a modern building with little character located next to a large car-park)

But how wrong can first impressions be! The whole ceremony was handled with style and professionalism by the staff – and the venue itself turned out to provide some unusual and quirky locations for the wedding photographs – which turned out really well (in my humble opinion!).

It helped that the bride and groom were such lovely people, and the guests so much fun. Martin is Dutch and Rachel is English so there was an ‘international’ flavour to the proceedings – even one of the readings during the wedding ceremony was read in Dutch.

It really does help a wedding photographer if the people are happy, smiling and fun – and I couldn’t have wished for a better group of people than I had yesterday.

Congratulations to Rachel and Martin – I hope you enjoy your honeymoon.

A few pictures from the happy day can be seen below.
