The Wedding of Sue and Ben Crossley – The Deanwater Hotel, Cheshire

Yesterday (Friday) saw us photograph our first wet wedding of 2010. Until now we have been lucky that all 11 weddings photographed so far this year have been primarily dry with only the odd shower interrupting the day – but yesterday it rained, and rained and rained !

The day started with me photographing the bride (Sue) at her home in Heaton Mersey (getting ready with her bridesmaids) before I left for The Deanwater Hotel in Woodford, Cheshire to photograph the guys, guests and the ceremony. The hotel is lovely – set in Cheshire countryside with perfect gardens for wedding photography and a quaint bridge across a stream for those ‘romantic’ pictures. The bride and groom were great people and enjoyed the day despite the weather. Being a wedding photographer in the UK means we are used to photographing in the rain and we provide 24 black and white umbrellas for such occasions – so we still managed to get some great shots, even if most were shot ‘under umbrellas’ .

We left at 5pm and came back tot he studio to process the pictures ready for uploading to the Internet. This usually takes about 4 hours but last night there were so many great pictures that we didn’t finish until this morning. Sorry to Ben and Sue for the delay in getting the pictures online – but you do have twice as many as most weddings! We hope you enjoy them.

A few pictures from the wedding can be seen set to music below. (All wedding couples get a high definition DVD of pictures set to music similar the the one below, as well as all their images)
