Last weekend we shot a wedding at te fantastic Stock Restaurant in Manchester. The staff were so friendly and professional that I promised to take a few pictures of them and post them here on our site.
So, here they are!

Manchester wedding photographers rarely get to enjoy such a great day!
Last weekend we photographed the wedding of Helen and Greg. Our day started at The Didsbury where we photographed 'the boys' getting ready for the wedding before a short walk to St James' Church for the wedding ceremony itself.
The bride arrived in a lovely Bentley wedding car just in time for the sun to start shining.
The wedding was quite unusual. After the ceremony we headed to the nearby Fletcher Moss Gardens for photographs and a drink of Pimms before the guests were transported into Manchester in a Vintage bus provided by The Yorkshire Heritage Bus Co. (www.yorkshireheritagebus.co.uk)
The venue for the wedding breakfast was a real 'eye-opener'. Stock Restaurant is situated in the heart of Manchester and is a wedding venue that deserves to host more weddings than it does. I have said many times that it is not the building itself, or the food that makes a great venue – it is the staff, and the staff at Stock were superb. Never have I seen such a friendly group of people, all of them Italian, and all just loved their jobs. It was so refreshing to see such professional staff. Everyone (including us photographers) were made to feel so welcome.
Stock Restaurant is a venue I would highly recommend if you are planning a wedding in Manchester – and a venue we will be adding to our list of favourite wedding venues in Manchester.
We made use of the characterful Manchester architecture to photograph some great wedding pictures – along with the vintage bus, great florists, superb venue and friendly guests this made for a great wedding.

Last Thursday was a very special day for me as a wedding photographer. I was at Crewe Hall in Cheshire for the wedding of a friend who I have known for many years. The bride Alison, is a musician and we played for many years in the same band together, ending up sat next to each other. So we know each other well. It was a real privilege to be able to share her and Sean's special day.
The day started with her getting ready at her parents house in Crewe before heading to St Peter's Church for the wedding ceremony. Sean and Alison arrived at the church (late!) in a great Bentley – Sean works for Bentley in Crewe and they kindly provided the wedding car. The church is very small and I had to stay at the back for the wedding photographs as there was no room near the altar, but still managed to get some great shots.
Unfortunately the Cheshire summer weather let us down once again as the heavens opened as the wedding finished, meaning we made good use of our many umbrella's to keep the wedding party and guests dry.
Crewe Hall was its usual spectacular self – set in hundreds of acres of Cheshire countryside it provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs and is one of the favourite venues for all the wedding photographers I know (we founded the Cheshire Wedding Photographers Association over a year ago and regularly meet with other wedding photographers in Cheshire, so we get feedback on their thoughts regarding wedding venues)
The rain stopped just in time for the arrival of the bride and groom at Crewe Hall and stayed dry for the 'formal' pictures. It was really strange sat eating my meal with the other guests – I'm usually in the bar eating a plate of sandwiches during this part of the wedding!. After the wedding breakfast was finished I put on my 'other hat' and picked up my trumpet to play in the band which formed part of the evening entertainment.
It was a truly memorable day for me and would like to thank Alison, Sean and their families – (and all at Crewe Hall) for allowing me to share their wedding with them. Have a great honeymoon in Mexico and see you on your return.

Thank you, Mike, for our wonderful photographs! We are both over the moon with them! The photo video is also stunning and had my mum in tears!! It has really brought back wonderful memories of our special day and we thank you for doing such an excellent job as usual! x
Last weekend we were back at The Hunting Lodge and Adlington Hall in Cheshire. It is one of our favourite Cheshire wedding venues as it is very close to where we are based, is a beautiful venue and has great gardens.
Most weddings we photograph at Adlington Hall just use the Hunting Lodge, but for this wedding the ceremony took place in the Hall itself, with The Hunting Lodge being used for the wedding breakfast.
We are known as wedding photographers who don't intude, don't pose too many pictures and stay in the background, photographing scenes as we see them rather than staging everyting – and this wedding was no different. The bride requested no preperation pictures and asked us to tell the story of the day whilst being seen as little as possible. This we did, and it worked very well despite the weather not being great. Adlington Hall looks good in the rain, but is even better if the sun shines.
The hall itself is very dark, and it takes and experienced wedding photographer with good equipment to be able to photograph the ceremony without using flash (which is distracting during the vows).
Kerry and John had hired a lovely horse drawn carriage to take them the short distance from the Hunting Lodge to the hall, a great addition to the wedding and great for us wedding photographers to shoot – and the kids loved the horses!
Although we cover the whole of the North of the Uk and Wales, we seemed to have photographed almost all our weddings recently in Cheshire and The Wirral – and another Cheshire wedding looms in a few days time!

Our wedding on Saturday saw us in the heart of the Cheshire countryside photographing a wedding at the lovely Wrenbury Hall. Wrenbury Hall is one of Cheshire's finest wedding venues and is a dream for wedding photographers.
The sun was shining, Wrenbury Hall was at its best and the bride and groom had a fantastic celebration.
The day started with us photographing the bride as she prepared for the wedding at her mums house before we headed to All Saints Church in Scholar Green for the wedding ceremony. After they emerged as husband and wife we drove the 15 miles to the lovely Wrenbury Hall, crossing the border from Staffordshire into Cheshire.
Wrenbury Hall used to be a Red Cross care home until it was purchased some years ago and converted into a private residence and up-market wedding venue. What makes it ones of Cheshire best venues for wedding photographers is the bright and large function room, stunning gardens and characterful interior. Even if it is raining (which it wasn't for a change!), the interior offers plenty of opportunities for indoor wedding photographs. The staff are polite, professional and kind, which made this wedding a truly great event.

Mere Court Hotel wedding photographers have an easy life. It is one of the finest wedding venues in Cheshire. Even average wedding photographers shouldn't struggle to great pictures here. It is a beautiful country house hotel set in acres of Cheshire countryside and an interior and gardens that are just perfect for wedding photography.
