  • Welcome to our Blog – Our life as wedding photographers

This blog gives a more in-depth insight into Northwest Photography and it's innovative work as the North Wests leading wedding photographers.

You will see pictures from recent wedding, album page designs and details of how we create fantatsic wedding pictures that capture the atmosphere of your special day.

Some photographers produce great pictures, but require you to pose for several hours in order to get them.  We produce incredible images  without posing you too much, allowing you to spend more time with your family and friends. It is a skill we have developed over the past 14 years as wedding photographers!

You can read articles in date order below or contact us by clicking the 'contact' option on the menu at the top of any page. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website.

Civil Partnerships

Civil Partnerships DSC 86261 from Cheshire Wedding Photographers

Here at Northwest Photography we don't just photograph traditional weddings, we are also experienced at photographing Civil Partnership celebrations between both males and females.

With the recent changes in the law it is now possible for couples of the same sex to enter a formal, legally binding partnership, and here at Northwest Photography we have been at the forefront of creating a style that captures these events.

Civil partnerships are less 'formal' events that give the couple much more freedom to arrange a ceremony in the style that they want rather than having to conform to the legal requirement of a civil wedding. The vows can be anything you wish and there is no requirement to say any 'set words'. No marriage register is signed, just a contract between the two people.

As we have experience of many Civil Partnership celebrations we can not only photograph the event but also offer help regarding the 'flow of the day' and areas of uncertainty such as 'walking up the aisle'  and' to give away' or 'not to give away' etc.

It is a sad, but often Civil Partnership celebrations often bring with them family 'situations' that require tact and diplomacy. At Northwest Photography we will capture your special occasion with courtesy and friendliness, in our own unique creative style.

If you wish to discuss your celebrations with us then please get in touch using the 'contact' button near the top of the screen.
