Overseas Wedding Photography in Kalkan, Turkey

Last week was a VERY busy week for us. We photographed 7 weddings in 4 days – the first of which was a fantastic wedding in Kalkan, Turkey.

As wedding photographers based in Cheshire we often travel across the North of the UK. Wales. The Midlands, Yorkshire, and on occasions the South of the UK – but it is quite unusual for us to be asked to photograph a wedding in Turkey!

Chris and Vicki had planned their weddinh in Kalkan down to the smallest detail, and even the weather, which had been very windy the day before the wedding, was perfect for the ceremony.

The bride and groom asked for their wedding pictures to be processed in a 'vintage' style, so the pictures you see below are not our usual style of processing – but if a customer wants something different we are happy to oblige!

Wedding Photography in Lancashire at Chatburn Church

Last weekend we were photographing a wedding in Lancashire at Chatburn Church followed by a reception in a marquee at Chatburn Playing Fields.

This wonderful wedding highlighted an issue that wedding photographers have not had to consider in past years, Previously (in the days of film) wedding photographers simply took pictures and presented them to the bride and groom. Now, with modern digital technology it is possible to add 'effects' to the images after they have been taken to show them in a different style. So – what style of pictures do we present to the bride and groom?

We spend a lot of time prior to the wedding discussing with the wedding couple what style of pictures they like – as no two people like exactly the same thing. On this occasion we were asked to present the pictures in a vintage, instagram style, which is what we did.

The wonders of modern technology mean we can create a unique style of wedding photographs for each wedding couple – tailoring our processing of the pictures to the requirements of each person.

So…. Below are a few examples of the wedding photographs we took – in a vintage, instagram style. (Or course we always keep the original pictures and can revert back to the images 'as they came off the camera' should the client not like them!

Wedding Photography at Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire

Saturday saw us photographing what will be one of favourite weddings of the year at two of our favourite wedding venues in Cheshire.

Sarah and Paul chose to get married at the lovely Marton Church and then have their reception at the stunning Sandhole Oak Wedding Barn, just down the A34 from the church.

We had typical Cheshire weather for this wedding – It rained and the sun shone in equal measure, but it did not deter the bride and groom form having a simply brilliant day.

Sarah got ready at Sandhole Oak Barn (her outfit included a lush pair of Jimmy Choo shoes!) whilst Paul and 'the boys' had a quick drink at the nearby Davenport Arms – before a cracking wedding ceremony at Marton Church (the regular vicar was away and so a retired vicar 'stood in' for the ceremony – he was funny, relaxed and very informal……. much to everyones relief)

Sandhole Oak Barn was once again the perfect wedding venue. There really is no better place to get married in Cheshire. Annette and the team at Top Table conjured up some amazing food and once again the service was impeccable.

Many thanks to Sarah and Paul for making us so welcome on your special day (and to Sarah for dragging me on the dance floor to show off some my 'Mr Bean' style dancing!)

Kit99 - Loved the black & white photograph taken from underneath the old railway approach to Manchester Central Station, real atmosphere. The contrast of the modern against the old in these photographs creates a wonderful collage showing the history in Manchester.
