Our second wedding of the weekend found us at a church we haven’t visited before (St James The Less in Rawtenstall) and a very familiar wedding venue, The Lowry Hotel in Manchester for the wedding of Stuart and Lorna.
Our style of wedding photography is relaxed and informal, and we usually don’t spend much time taking ‘formal’ pictures. This leaves the bride and groom with more time to enjoy the day with their friends and family ….. but …….. there are very few weddings where no formal pictures at all are requested – but this was one!
Stuart and Lorna were lovely people who wanted a relaxed, fun and informal day without us getting in the way – so that’s what we did!
Just because the wedding was relaxed doesn’t mean it wasn’t spectacular however. No expense was spared in what was a fantastic event. Bentley wedding cars, piper flown in from Scotland, Harpist all the way from Wales, 3 bands, Chocolate Fountain, Photo Booth, fine champagne etc etc. It also helped that the bride, groom and wedding party were all stunningly good looking!
The Lowry Hotel in central Manchester also performed to their usual high standards (it’s a wedding photographers dream). I know of no better venue when it comes to professional staff. The speed in which they get the food to the tables is amazing.
This was a memorable wedding and a joy to photograph. We stayed late into the evening (longer than we were paid to do) just so we could capture the full day and record what was a great party.
Thank you Stuart, Lorna and all your guests for making me feel so welcome and allowing me to share your special day.
