Once again sorry for the delay in getting this posting online. It has been another very busy weekend for us and we just don’t have the time to post example pictures from EVERY wedding we photography. From now on we will select one wedding each weekend and post example photographs. Last weekend saw us at Cranage Hall in Cheshire for the wedding of Jon and Sarah. It was a greta day that started early for us at the brides mums house in Lower Peover (pronounced peever!!) for pre-wedding photographs. It wa sthen on to one of my favourite pubs – The Bells of Peover which is conveniently situated just yards from St Oswalds Church, where the ceremony took place.
St Oswalds Church is, in my opionion, the most beautiful in Cheshire – and that combined with a relaxed, fun and friendly female vicar makes this a great wedding venue. The church is however incredibly dark making a real technical challenge for us as we don’t use flash photography in churches as it is disctracting for both wedding couple and vicar.
The ceremony went perfectly, and after a few ‘formal’ pictures at the Church it was on to Cranage Hall for the reception. (The wedding cars were provided by Horgans Cars – the most professional in the business).
Cranage Hall is a strange venue. Beautiful on the outside but quite bland and modern on the inside and provides limited locations for wedding photographers. They also book more than one function at the same time, and this was the case on Saturday. Not only was there the reception for Jan and Sarah’s wedding but also a business conference and a fancy dress party! With several functions using the same public areas it can get a little ‘crowded’.
The evening celebrations were very well organised by Jon and Sarah with a sweet stall for the kids and a chocolate fountain. Chinese lanterns were set off at 9.30 pm (which was fun getting them lit in the darkness!) and we left soon after to ‘process’ the pictures. We took over 3,500 during the day and have provided Jon and Sarah with over 500 of the best.
Thank you to Jon and Sarah for maing us so welcome, and to your guests for being so much fun!
A few examples from the wedding are below.
