I must start with an apology to all that read this blog regularly. You will have noticed that last weekends weddings haven’t been mentioned here – this is because we are now in the middle of our busy season and have just had too much work to do to be able to update this blog in the usual way. We will post some pictures from last weekends shortly, but for the time being we have decided to ‘skip a weekend’ and proceed with this weekends weddings.
Saturday saw us at the lovely Lowry Hotel in Manchester for the civil partnership celebrations of Jon and Andrew. The hotel was looking at it’s best (it is a dream location for wedding photographers) with the sun shining and a cloud-less sky.
The hotel was very busy with not only Andrew and Jon’s celebrations taking place – but also present were the England Cricket team (preparing for the next days match at Old Trafford against the Aussies) and ‘celebs’ from Emmerdale. Autograph hunters were gathered around the hotel entrance all day (but I refused to sign anything!).
The celebrations all went without a hitch and Andrew and Jon had a great day. The evening was a ‘black tie’ event, so I took along a dinner jacket so I wouldn’t be out of place. (A wedding photographer in a dinner jacket I hear you say! ,Yes, we do look smart on occasions!
Thanks to Andrew and Jon for making us so welcome. Have a great trip in California (don’t forget the sun-cream)
