  • Welcome to our Blog – Our life as wedding photographers

This blog gives a more in-depth insight into Northwest Photography and it's innovative work as the North Wests leading wedding photographers.

You will see pictures from recent wedding, album page designs and details of how we create fantatsic wedding pictures that capture the atmosphere of your special day.

Some photographers produce great pictures, but require you to pose for several hours in order to get them.  We produce incredible images  without posing you too much, allowing you to spend more time with your family and friends. It is a skill we have developed over the past 14 years as wedding photographers!

You can read articles in date order below or contact us by clicking the 'contact' option on the menu at the top of any page. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website.

The Wedding of Nick and Emma Bone – Mere Court Hotel, Knutsford, Cheshire

Once again we found ourselves back at The Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford, Cheshire (it feels like our second home we are there so often!), this time for the wedding of Nick and Emma Bone.

The Mere Court Hotel is one of our favourite wedding venues in Cheshire as it is just so perfect for wedding photographers. The staff are simply the best, the building is characterful and beautiful and the grounds simply stunning.

The wedding on Saturday was a colourful affair, with the bridesmaids wearing bright blue and the guys were almost all in kilts (good job the weather was warm!)

It was an early start for us as ‘en-route’ to photograph the bride at her mums house in Radcliffe we stopped off in Sale at the florists to pick up the flowers to take to the bride. It was the least we could do as it was the florist who recommended us having seen us photograph a wedding two years ago.  A few minutes were spent photographing the bride as she prepared for the big day (we never intrude too long) before heading to the Axe and Cleaver pub in Dunham Massey to photograph the guys.

Emma arrived at the church looking fantastic and was led into the church by a Scottish piper (a nice touch). The ceremony was wonderful with the ‘stand-in’ vicar at St Mary’s, Dunham Massey giving a light-hearted and funny atmosphere to the proceedings. (So refreshing and a far cry from the ‘stale’, stuffy ceremonies we sometimes sit through!)

After the ceremony the bride left for The Mere Court Hotel where the celebrations carried on into the night.

Thank you Emma and Nick (and your families) for allowing us to share your special day with you.

Below are a few pictures taken during the day – we hope you like them.

Have a great honeymoon and speak to you again on your return.

Hi Mike, terrific set of images, bet they’re thrilled. Love the veil shot, I’ve been after a shot like that for a while now, the ring shots great too, very unusual.

Beautiful work! I especially liked the photo from the inside of the church loking at the bride and groom. Amazing!
