Saturday saw us photographing a wedding at an unusual venue – Mostyn House School on The Wirral. It is a venue we have not visted before – and won’t be visiting again as the school closed down the day before the wedding!
The venue was like something out of a Harry Potter movie with dark, old fashioned school rooms and a style straight from a St Trinian’s film set.
The chapel (where the happy couple were married by the headmistress) was beautiful and quirky – and one of the darkest venues we have ever encountered.
The rain held off just long enough for the ‘formal’ pictures which were shot at the front of the school building before the guests enjoyed a BBQ. In the evening we were all entertained by a live band.
Certainly a wedding with a difference this one!
A few pictures from the day can be seen below.

Julie Edwards - What a great venue! We don’t have anything like that in Southern California. And great photos. My favorite is the coming down the aisle shot with the guests on their feet.
Jacquie McFarlane - Love this set of images!
I love the foot on the pedals – great attention to details.
Karen Leaf - Love these moments found–the foot on the organ pedals is brilliant. (must be great since it’s already mentioned
