Looking back over the past few months has made us realise just how many wedding venues there are in our part of the UK. We photograph many weddings each year at the 'big' venues such as Sandhole Oak Wedding Barn, Peckforton Castle etc – but occasionally we get to visit a 'little gem' of a venue.
One such venue we visited recently was Mere Brook House on The Wirral. We have only ever photographer one wedding there, which is a shame as it is a lovely little 'boutique' wedding venue with friendly staff and a garden perfect for wedding photographers.
The wedding we photographed there was lovely. The bride and groom were a little older than most (I am sure they won't mind me saying that!) – but age doesn't matter if you are in love, as these two obviously were!
We love photographing great characters. (You don't have to be young and stunning looking to be photogenic). Our 'at a distance' style of photography puts people at ease and we can manage to get great pictures even if the bride and groom are a little 'camera shy'!
